Can the sapphire glass of my Jekyll & Hyde watch break?
Jekyll & Hyde watches are equipped with hardness grade 9 (out of 10) sapphire crystals – only diamonds are harder. Therefore, they are very scratch resistant. However, hard knocks or dropping your watch can shatter the glass because of the inner tension of the glass.
Which of the 39 or 42mm Jekyll & Hyde watch is the right size for me?
Today even ladies confidently wear large “men’s” watches. So there is no right or wrong answer. However, for comfort reasons, we recommend a 39mm watch for wrists smaller then 16cm in diameter unless you are used to wearing large watches. For particularly small wrists, you can exchange your straps for XS straps regardless of the size of the watch.
What strap shall I use for my Jekyll & Hyde watch?
Jekyll & Hyde watches come with one genuine leather and one nylon strap which can easily be switched by virtue of “quick release” spring bars.
What is the warranty?
Jekyll & Hyde watches are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers the movement, case and glass against manufacturing defects. If in doubt, we recommend you to visit your local retailer or watchmaker to assess whether or not a warranty claim is justified. For justified warranties, you shall be reimbursed the purchase price (excluding any shipping, duties, taxes) or receive a new watch.
What does the warranty not include?
How do I change the battery of my watch?
Jekyll & Hyde watches are equipped with service-friendly, Japanese Myota VD78 movements. The battery life is approximately 2 years. Most watchmakers or jewelry shops are able to change the battery. Please request a water-resistant test with the battery change so that the water-resistance is safeguarded.
Can I go swimming with my watch?
Jekyll & Hyde watches are not made for swimming or any activities in the water, although they are tested to withstand 30bar (30 meters). However, this is only to safeguard the watch in the case when it may be inadvertently submerged in water. We expressively discourage you wearing your watch in the shower. Leather straps will be damaged by water.
